Soil Water Nexus Consulting

Soil Water Nexus Consulting was formed by Blake Weiseth in March 2021, with the firm’s name inspired by the founder’s appreciation of the agronomic and environmental importance of this critical interaction zone. This site is dedicated to highlighting both Blake’s journey through his PhD studies and his professional passions of research and demonstration project design, collaboration, delivery, and dissemination.

Blake obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in soil science from the University of Saskatchewan and holds a Professional Agrologist designation with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists. He has professional experience both in the public sector as Research Specialist with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture and in the private sector as Applied Research Lead with the Glacier FarmMedia Discovery Farm, a role which he continues to hold while pursuing his PhD studies.
